QUALITY AND EXPERIENCE

Today, Favret Mosaici is represented by Paolo Favret. Paolo coordinates a team of skilled craftsmen who oversee the creation of the mosaics, from design to execution and on-site installation for large works that cannot be done solely inside the workshop. Favret mosaics stand out for the quality of the materials used: gold leaf that is symbolic of the mystic aura for sacred mosaics, enamels typical of the Venetian tradition and marble characteristic of Versilia. Micromosaics is a special technique with tiny tiles applied exclusively by Favret Mosaici. The company also produces and distributes materials for flooring and marble sculptures.

OUR CUSTOMERS

In its early years, Favret Mosaici produced mainly sacred works. Today, the company also receives commissions from public bodies, institutions, museums and private citizens. There is strong demand for mosaic decorations from the Middle East, followed by the United States. Mosaics with the classical style of Pompeii and Herculaneum are often produced for hotels, restaurants, palaces and villas in Italy and in the UK. This is why Favet Mosaici’s staff are always available to go almost anywhere in the world for on-site inspections, provide quotations and execute works.

ARTISTIC PARTNERSHIPS

Favret Mosaici boasts numerous artistic partnerships, including with Leone Tommasi, Romano Corsi, Isabel Pitzect, Emil, Velky Ruskov, Barbara Chowanska Najwer, Benvenuto Saba, Franco Miozzo, Alessandro Pierotti, Giovanni Gualtiero Schweitzer. Our partnership with Leone Tommasi is particularly significant. He prepared pencil and watercolor sketches for our founder, Luciano Favret. From the Thirties until the mid-Sixties, the work and human relationship between the two artists was very intense, as they worked together to create mosaics at the Favret workshop, which were then exported around the world. Many of Tommasi’s original designs are still on display in the Favret workshop.

Our Home

PIETRASANTA, VERSILIA, TUSCANY

Favret Mosaici is located in Pietrasanta in the heart of Versilia. The local marble is so precious and well-known that it and its quarries immediately come to mind. Marble mosaics are one of Favret Mosaici’s leading productions, given the workshop’s strategic location. Moreover, the creation of mosaics produces no substances that are polluting, toxic or harmful to the environment. When enamels are used, any production waste is donated to kindergartens, elementary and middle schools to create new small mosaics. Favret Mosaici is a 100% ecological activity.
